Headless commerce & Shopify
Headless commercewith Shopify.
We build Shopify stores with a custom-designed storefront. When your project needs more freedom over features, content and design, we develop a dedicated headless frontend.

The starting point
What does your Shopify store need to do?
A Shopify store can use a customised theme or a separately developed storefront. We help you choose the approach that fits your products, content and your team’s daily work.
Headless gives you more design flexibility and requires dedicated development and maintenance. We clarify the features you need, how content will be managed and the ongoing costs before starting. Existing apps and integrations are part of that decision.
Scope of work
What we do for you.
The right shop architecture
We compare a Shopify theme with a headless solution. Your requirements for product presentation, content and integrations determine our recommendation.
A custom storefront
We design product pages, search and the cart around your customers. For headless projects, we use tools such as Hydrogen or Next.js and connect a CMS for content management where needed.
Connect product data and checkout
We connect the storefront to Shopify and the agreed systems. Before launch, we test the handover to Shopify Checkout, order confirmation and tracking.
Your outcome
A Shopify store with tested purchasing flows.
You receive a custom-built store with the agreed features and integrations. We show your team how to manage it and document which tasks Shopify handles and how the custom storefront is maintained.
Tell us about your projectHow we work together
How
we work.
We agree on tasks and decisions with you. You know what comes next and what information we need from you.
Review requirements and existing systems
We discuss your products, audiences, content and existing apps. This gives us a technical plan and a clearly defined project scope.
Design and develop
You review designs and early features in a preview. Product data, content and integrations are added step by step.
Test and launch
We test purchasing flows, mobile usability and the agreed tracking points. We then support the launch and handover to your team.
What does headless mean with Shopify?
The storefront is developed independently of the commerce platform and connected to Shopify through APIs. You still manage products and orders in Shopify. Purchases are completed through Shopify Checkout.
Can we keep using our Shopify apps?
We check each app you need. Functions in the Shopify backend may remain available. Customer-facing features such as reviews, search or subscriptions need a suitable API or custom integration in a headless setup.
Do we need headless for a custom Shopify store?
Not necessarily. A customised theme can also reflect your brand. Headless makes sense when the extra flexibility justifies the development and maintenance effort. We compare both options with you.
